INFERNAL DEATH was the best kept secret in the Metal scene for years. Too bad all of the band members are dead now.

(Actually, after contacting the almighty IAN CHRISTIE of Literature and SIRIUS metal fame, I've decided to update this website. No, we're not really dead.-Paul R.)
INFERNAL DEATH was formed in 1988 by Kenny Smith (Guitar), Paul Russ (Bass, Vocals), and Ben Ulrich (Drums) In the desert wastelands of El Paso, Tx.
They recorded their first demo in the spring of 1989, entitled, "Incantations of the Gates". it contained 4 songs. They were: 1.The Rites of the Ensnarer 2.Incantations of the Gates 3.Take Me to Hell 4.SATAN'S METAL . .This demo has become a very sought-after collector's item in the metal scene. It was recorded on a $75 budget, and in just one take. The band was just starting to play live shows, and get big in the underground metal magazine scene, both in the U.S. and overseas, when disaster struck. Ben & Paul got into a fight, and Ben left the band. The band was drummerless, until finding Gabe Limon in May of 1991.
The band then recorded their second demo called, "Bringer of Evil." it contained 2 new songs, and a live version of the original demo. Unfortunately, the original recordings of this demo were lost, and only a few hundred copies exist in circulation. Gabe never was serious about making music, and left the band in 1993. Paul & Ken bought a drumset, and made more original music together, resulting in a drunken rehearsal tape that contained 4 new songs, but was never intended for release. It has become a collector's item none-the-less. It was simply, "Drunk & Jammin." With Paul on drums and Kenny on guitar. There was no recorded bassline on the tape. Vocals were overdubbed. The band fizzled-out in late 1995. Currently Paul lives in Central Texas, Kenny lives in New York City, and Ben lives near Memphis,TN. The whereabouts of Gabe are unknown.
